So i came across this damp block (internal) up about 14 courses on our new build, roof is on a month now and windows are in. Any idea where it would be coming from. its a 120 cavity with 80mm ridge kingspan insulation.
    Thanks

Looks like an external wall.. Is it plastered externally?
is there any structure externally joining right there?
Are you sure its damp? kind of odd that it effects such a specific area.

Its and Internal wall alright, up at the lintel level near the front door.I would have thought that a lot of the moisture if there was any trpped would be gone will all the warm weather.

At a quick glance it looks like an oil/grease stain to me. Was there a long handled roller or brush left against the wall at any point?

Tape a sheet of thick polythene sheet over the area and leave it 24 hours if its damp then you'll get water on the polythene sheet. Do the same on a test "dry" area as a comparison.
