Note that it's the same price on the PlayStation Store as part of the Days of Play promotion.

See, you agree how boring consoles are.

Both have their merits (PS4 owner and a PC owner with an extensive steam collection).

You can use a console controller with a PC and stream the game to your living room tv, so I don't see how a console has any advantage. Shooters are far superior with a mouse/keyboard and serious strategy games are non existent on consoles.

And yet you take the time to comment on a console thread.....

PC's tend to be big and can be quite noisy. Where the PC sits and where you have your TV might not be the same room. You might want to play a game but another person wants the PC off as it's noisy etc.

There are plenty of games that only come out on console so it's handy to be able to play them.

Why limit yourself to one experience when you can have both (ideally).

PC cases can be lot smaller than they used to be. No problem using a mini ITX motherboard and case for gaming, these would similar to consoles in size. A case with good airflow and liquid cooling isn't going to be noisy. PC is a lot more versatile, it can be used for more than just gaming.

Why waste money on a console, when you can get better performance and more use cases with a PC?

Would've thought somebody who's been on boards for 8+ years wouldn't be weird enough to write the comment that you did.

No-one is arguing that they aren't more versatile but for the traditional console market, they want something that they simply switch on and it works. Most of the console market would be terrified at the idea of opening up their PC and upgrading. With a console the game is designed with a specific set of hardware in mind. No doubt you'll have heard of people who have bought a PC game and found their system isn't powerful enough to run it.

Two different formats, two sets of customers albeit with some crossover.

Promoting playing games on a PC in this thread is such a strange agenda to have. Who gives a fúck? If you want a PS+ sub at a reduced rate, there it is.

This **** drives me mad, it's extremely sad and an attitude that should be dropped beyond age 12.

And I own a gaming PC along with consoles before you go there, each have their plus points.
