charged for a product i didnt receive

    hello
    i was offered a "free" 14 day tial and quickly realised the eir broadband package wasnt for me. i cancelled for a below par service(after being promised it was the the top of the range by the salesman).
    i cancelled within the first week and got  an email to say i would be charged a cancellation fee. when i queried this i was informed the fee was for the 5 day usage. there is no way-and you can check this under e.u law- that i can be charged for a service i never received.
