    Hi all.

I'm half way through a new build. House had a boiler /plant room in it. Question I have is the engineer advised a boiler house door with Louvre vents but the house has MHRV and I want it airtight. Does the boiler room get sealed off from the main heated envelope of the house ? It's a condensing oil boiler balanced flue so not even sure if the vents are a regulation in the boiler room door?

Bit late for louvre now! You would off had to thermally & air-tightness wise separated the boiler room from rest of the house. Suggest eng specifies direct boiler /extract flue that doesn’t require louvre

So either change the boiler house door or put a membrane all around the boiler house wall and slabs and seal the room off?

    Cheers.
