Is there a new cookie policy or something?
Every website I open news, online shops, gardening websites etc, are asking to accept our new cookie policy.
I know this is common but seems to have spread and increased immensely in the last week or so.

    He's making a list
    He's checking it twice
He's gonna find out who's naughty or nice
Santa Claus is in contravention of article 4 of the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679

Only if they have a naughty list.

It's mostly about allowing websites permission to sell your details and history to advertisers and others of that ilk.

Of course, some companies are taking the piss. To opt out of cookies tracking with tumblr you have to tick over 300 boxes.

Blame the EU. They don't understand the Internet. Under GDPR a phonebook is totally illegal.

Can there not be an option on your browser where you agree to a disclaimer that you're not a fooking idiot and understand cookies so you never have to see the warnings again, they are a pure pain in the hole and warnings are only relevant to simpletons.
