Hi - I’m a 28 year old who grew up terrified of the dentist. Only going when really really necessary.

Anyways I know find myself extremely paranoid and anxious of my smile and to make matters worse I’m getting married next year and dreading the thoughts of photos. I never thaught it would affect me so much but it really annoys me that I didn’t take better care of them when I was younger.

I broke a front tooth 2 years a ago and got it crowned. I’ve recently broken another tooth through sport and had to get it pulled. Must ootion for it is an implant.

For my remaining teeth I think my only option is veneers.

Could anyone out there recommend a good dentist and has anyone out there any life experiences of getting major work done.

    I’d appreciate it all. Thanks

Veneering your remaining teeth isn't a decision I'd make lightly. People often think oh I'll just veneer my remaining teeth without giving any thought to the irreversible nature of veneers or the future treatment that that tooth will need.

Could you not just ask your dentist?
I don't know what you want people to tell you without even a photograph of the teeth.

I was the same OP - terrified of needles more so than dentists. Never went near one til I was 28 - somehow all I needed was a deep clean.

Then I went and tripped in the street, knocked out and broke my 2 front teeth, did all sorts of damage. Needed braces to fit the implants in, which meant bone and tissue grafts while the bone wore away. It took over 18 months by the time I was done.

The place I went to looked after me brilliantly - couldn't recommend them more. Not sure if I can post the name here or if a Dublin based clinic works for you, but PM me if you want details.

Op, a location would help, but recommendations are by PM only
