Just a quick one here.

Any reason not to consider buying the S7 linked below ? Works out about 15 quid cheaper then UK site I believe.

None that I know of! I have just bought S8 link below from Amazon.de - next best was komplett @ €559

No, don't have it yet. Only ordered yesterday, has been dispatched and delivery is listed for tomorrow. Pretty darn quick in my recent experiences with Amazon if it does.
Will let you know once it arrives.

Phone arrived this morning. Ordered from amazon.de on Tuesday so fantastic service:)
It's just plug and play out of the box really - I'm not at all technical. Transferred my SIM and SD card over which brought most of my stuff as I try and save any apps I can on the card. Just in the process of using SmartSwitch to transfer the rest of the files now. Seamless for a gobsh1te like me:D

Face recognition works really well, new location for fingerprint scanner on the back will take a bit of getting used to after S7 but all in all looks like a decent phone at a great price

Also bought one of these yesterday https://www.ebay.com/itm/253329902632 which also arrived this morning - I know they can be got cheaper but this one was an Irish seller so prompt with the delivery.

Was prepared for it tho - final price including the VAT + delivery was €493, still a good deal I think.

Yeah I twigged that earlier on. Parcel motel via NI brings it down a bit. I'm baffled though as to what our tax rate has to do with buying from Germany ?

Any opinions on any of the phones shops around Dublin city centre ? There very similar in price to Amazon and all have great feedback on Adverts.

Amazon pays tax to ireland so they charge you the irish rate, same for .de .co.uk etc

If your refering to the S8 it's telling me it can deliver to Ireland.

Went with an S7 from a seller called A Montain (fulfilled by Amazon). Came to €332 Inc postage. However I've yet to be give a delivery date which is a bit annoying.
