Irish boy names

    Hi all.

Due another boy in the autumn and I want to give him an Irish name. Only catch is that my husband is Welsh so he wants something that a British person would know how to say - so unfortunately that means no Óisíns or Fiachras or Diarmuids! I’m open to Irish names in their anglicised versions, like Dara rather than Dáire or Aidan rather than Aodhan.

Our first little boy is called Liam. We found it so hard to settle on a name for him that he didn’t have a name when he was born.

    Suggestions greatly appreciated!

Was going to suggest Fionn. Cousin is married to Welsh man and their daughter is called Ffyon (not sure of spelling)

Rian is probably a bit too close to the Welsh female name Rhian!

We're in the UK and called our first son Conor, second son we avoided Irish names and went with Aaron.

Some irish boys names that can be pronounced outside of Ireland.

    Aidan
    Brian
    Barry
    Colm
    Cillian
    Cormac
    Darragh
    Eoin
    Fergal
    Kevin
    Keith
    Neil
    Rory
