I'm a novice and I'm interested in getting some photography training on a one-to-one basis. My camera is a Sony Alpha 100.

    I'm in Portmarnock.

What would you recommend as best way to check what/who is available?

try youtube, get to know your cameras buttons, functions once you know what everything does then maybe move onto the exposure triangle then compositions etc etc but rember to not get bogged down with technial stuff and just get out there and have fun

anyone worth their salt would be charging 50 quid an hour or more, and teaching you things that are widely disseminated on all forms of media. i've not read it, but a book called 'understanding exposure' is well respected around these parts - probably worth picking up to get to grips with the holy trinity of aperture, shutter speed, and ISO, and take it from there...
