Apartment check out Salou

    Hi guys
Wondering if anyone can help me. We are staying in Salou for a week in the summer and check out time from the apartment is 11am. Our flight isn't until 11pm from Barcelona airport which takes over an hour to get to. Is there anywhere we can leave our baggage during the day in Salou as there is no point travelling to the airport and waiting around all day. I thought maybe we could leave Salou 6ish. From reading reviews, the apartment we are staying at doesn't do late check out or keep bags which I had been banking on. Definitely be thinking more about flights and apartments next time😬. Any ideas??

In short, I don't know but if I was in that situation I would leave for Barcelona and spend the day there. Sure to have many more options for storage. Actually, I imagine you're getting the train from Salou to BCN Sants train station and there is storage there I believe.

Thanks for that. Yeah I think that is the best option. I hadn't really thought it through. Just got myself in a flap about it. Been talking with my brother who's a seasoned traveller and he suggested I get the bus from Salou to the airport, leave the bags in luggage storage there and take the metro into the city for the day. I'm actually quite excited now about getting to see some of Barcelona. Thank you for replying 😉

I'm sure you'll have a great time in Salou and BCN but I have to parrot my BCN advice to everyone I know so here it comes. Can you please be careful with your belongings.

I lived in Madrid for years and have visited BCN many times and seeing how careless people are, becoming a pickpocket has crossed my mind. It's just astounding. I've intervened several times to save people's stuff as robbing boils my blood. Don't risk ruining your day in the city by being the 'I left my phone on the table and some kids came up with a form or something for me to read and wow, my phone was gone" person.

Trust me, I love BCN but be sensible. ¡Buen viaje!
