Hi, I've a bunch of 20 to 30 birds munching on my bees, two colonies, and trying to build up more, anything I can do to discourage them, it seems consistent they are at it all day, it must be having an impact ?

Make a chicken wire mesh screen around the front of the hive?

Yeah, but they are swooping down on them in the field in front of the hive as well, it's incessant

Put out some other food that they prefer to bees? Seeds and nuts, that sort of thing. They are notoriously voracious in their appetites but if you put out a preferable food source, they should start to leave your bees alone.

Get one of those hawk - like bird scarers, that should disturb them enough to stay clear of your hive
