Not really an after hours subject, but the word is likely to spread more rapidly from here than from the Infrastructure forum, as this is going to affect a lot of homes and businesses from Thursday morning.

The main supply pipe that feeds Stallen treatment plant in Drogheda has burst again, last year, it took most of a week to repair, and in excess of 70,000 homes and businesses in the Drogheda and East Meath area had disruptions to their water, or no supply at all.

Irish Water are aware of the problem, and mobilising their "Crisis Management" team. Hopefully, they will be better organised this time round, and get tankers moving to top up the reservoirs a bit quicker than last time.

Shore, if it was easy, everybody would be doin it.😁

There will be more than enough of that as it is, and I suspect a significant quantity of No2 from Irish Water, if last time is anything to go by.

The "urgent" plan to replace the pipe that's failed (again) has not yet gone to contract, they're still dancing around the maypole on getting it out there.
