Hi folks, I need to make a trip on Thursday from Naas to Templemore in my 24kw Leaf.Unfortunately,my usual reliable stop-off point at M8 Junction 3 is out of service.Has anyone used the charger at Roscrea recently? The ecars map seems to indicate that it isn't working on CCS but should be ok on Chademo..I put it into cpinfo.ie but can't quite make out the results.

I'll charge in Portlaoise to be on the safe side, but I like to have a bit of a margin just in case.

Hitting for Ballacolla and taking the R433 through Rathdowney to Templemore is also a good option. ~5 minutes difference in journey time.

The Ballacolla rapid is at the R433/M7 junction.

Thanks cros13, that's my usual route but Ballacolla is out of service for the last few weeks.I'll get a good charge in Portlaoise and if there are any issues at Roscrea I could stop in Urlingford on the way back.

Only recently bought my first EV; how reliable is the eCars app at reporting whether chargers are up/down? I checked it a few times while charging to see if it showed whether the charger was in-use or not, this didn't seem to be working so I assumed the up/down status was probably not too reliable either. Been using PlugShare since then...

    Terrible
It's a joke, like the whole ecars system

    Use plugshare and Zap Map.
