Flourocarbon/copolymer knots to fly

    Just looking for some advice on trying knots to tippet rings or flies using Flourocarbon or Copolymer. While I understand that I should ensure that the knot is well wetted, that the slack should be tightened out slowly and that the final tighten should be done relatively gentle, I still find that my knots with these types of tippet material tend to snap very easily. I typically use the double Davey knot (http://www.animatedknots.com/doubledavy/index.php), which is fine using mono but just doesn't seem to be suitable to these other materials. Any suggestions?

    Single Davy for fluoro and tucked half blood for copoly and nylon.
