Traditionally the best time to buy coins has always been when the market is depressed, lacking confidence, when crypto has slipped off the radar, when people are questioning it's future

Would like to hear what coins people are buying or thinking of buying and why. As many details as possible

Depends on whether you're looking at short term or long term. Short term ETH has been up and down 20%-30% quite regularly in the last couple of months so good opportunity to increase your holding if you're happy with small short term gains. I'd say the low end price will rise with the first phase of Casper, and again and to a greater extent when and if the second phase happens, and which point it is IMO likely to become the dominant coin out there. I think POS and other low energy coins will start to dominate over the coming year, and wouldn't be surprised to see a big movement away from BTC when this happens. This could mean jumps for the likes of NEO or IOTA even without new money coming into the market.

That said, I reckon you've been at this a lot longer than I have, so caveat emptor remains the rule of the day.

ZILLIQA (ZIL) might be getting into nice buy levels.

    Ori and Kin for me.
If I had waited longer I could have gotten a lot more than I did but that's the risk you take.

Ori is low mc and has a very promising product. They are already backed with investment from some French banks and only raised a small amount through the ico. Price ATM is a steal considering the potential.

Kin and it's team have really impressed me. Another team who are focused on the product first and will do the marketing later. When it does integrate with Kik and they role out the KRE it will be very interesting. Kik reportedly has 16million users so the challenge will be adoption of said users to crypto, which they probably aren't. Already partnering with Unity to build an sdk for developer rewards. Had I sold just before consensys I'd have more than doubled my money but fomo held me back. Current price is still good (was better a few days ago).

Neo is also at a good price. It's never been a blast off rise for it over the last year apart from the initial jump from $7 to $40. Steady increases all the way through. The merge with Ontology looks interesting and it's always nice to receive gas (and air drops!)

Check out DASH seems to be very low compared to BTC. Might be a good entry.
