Hi, I have wooden panels on the front of my house that I am looking to cover, would anyone have suggestions on what's best to use (pvc etc) and any suggiontions on companies that do this? Many thanks

What’s behind the wood panels (ie what’s the wall build up)

if it’s brick take of the timber and render it. Or even better install external wall insulation.

Is the timber too far gone to just sand back and paint?

what do you mean by panels?
Are they just either side of the windows or is the whole A part of the gable panelled, with brickwork underneath.
If the latter then I expect that what is behind is un-rendered blockwork, with maybe a 100mm step in the wall construction.

Whats the purpose of your thoughts about the timber?

“I can’t pay my staff or mortgage with instagram likes”.

i think it could be sanded back I was just advised to get it covered by pvc, neighbours all have white frontage that looks similar to facia but wider.

Is rendering or external wall insulation a big job?
    Thanks

Hi Calahonda52 I think it might be the latter, the timber goes across the full front of the house. I was advised to cover it with pvc rather than strip it back by a surveyor as he said it would be an easier job. As mentioned to BrianF all the neighbours have a similar frontage so trying to align. Not sure where to start though! Thanks
