Applying for a holiday Visa in Australia. Can it be done without specific dates?

    I'm traveling to Thailand (and maybe Cambodia) for 2-3 months from mid June


    Is it possible to apply for a holiday Visa for Australia before I go with a view of using it some time around September but no confirmed date?



    If so, where can I get it in Dublin and for how much?

    You can apply for it online and if you're a passport holder from one of the countries listed there is no charge.

    So once I know when I want to go I can do it from whatever country and do it all online?



    So, for example, I'm in Thailand in early August and I decide I want to go to Australia in early September. I can do it all electronically?

    Yeah, pretty much. I'd do it a week before just in case.
