Is cycling Ireland insurance good for mountainbiking / touring

    Hi ,

I am not in a cycling club but a friend of mine suggested that I should become a member of cycling Ireland for the insurance alone . I do most of my road cycling on my own or with a mate of mine and usually do about two sportives a year .

I also do a bit of mountainbiking , mainly trail centre stuff and I do a bit of loaded touring when I get a chance.

Would membership of cycling Ireland mean I'd have insurance while training for sportives and while mountainbiking ? or is my mate misinformed

I tried getting onto cycling Ireland about it but haven't got a response .

    Thanks ,

    Barry
