The new laws on the Costa Del Sol mean men going topless could be fined 750 euro.

While women won't be allowed to walk around town in their swim gear.

The new rules also say that those at hen and stag parties won't be permitted to carry ‘lude props’.

The mayor of Marbella said the laws are designed to preserve the 'classy image of the city.'

    In total agreement with this.

Would like to see it spread northwards to here some day.

The rarity of sunny days mean it's not exactly the key issue for our nation, however it would be best not to have to endure such scuminess at all, ever.

To be clear though: on the actual beach itself- knock yourself out.
Lude props are fine as people can play Ludo as seriously as they want. Lewd props are best left in the shop you saw them in.

    .

Men going topless...? That a typo?

But in bold sounds like a contradiction - either they're ok on the beach or they aren't...?

Toplessness on a beach is nothing smutty. Live wirth it.

Everything I don't like is either woke or fascist - possibly both - pick one.

They may or may not, but they still like the look of your wallet.

Sort of agree with this. You don't want to be eating your omlette and looking at the hairy nipples of a dad of five.

TBH, most resorts I have been to in the Balarics, Portugal, Canaries, shops/cafes especially, ask men to put on a tee shirt, or woman to wear a throw of some kind if in their swim suits or bikinis. Maybe Marbella is just the first, or at least come out with a clamp down.

Nothing worse then some massive gutted man sitting down at a cafe topless smoking cigarettes and drink a pint with his wife. Would put you off your meal looking at the hair on his shoulders/nipples.

    "preserve" the classy image?

The fact he felt the need for these laws shows clearly the classy image is long gone.

I don't follow. You are seeing vagueness that I can't. They are ruling for people walking around the town. Putting on a t-shirt when you leave the beach is hardly such an awful imposition.

Marbella in my limited experience is pretty decent but they are concerned with 'pollution' from less salubrious places nearby.

It is not correction; more preservation.

Then why are you sayin they're best left "in the shop"?

He means the "lewd props" would be best left in the shops.

'Lude' props? How is it that I have smart, talented friends working in Starbucks because they can't get a paying journalism job, and this person can't spell 'lewd'?

    http://www.yourdictionary.com/lude

It's nothing to do with blowup sheep and inflatable dildo's

    They're banning sedatives.....duuuuude

Sorry now I get you. As the others have pointed out I was making fun of the spelling error. A ham-fisted effort at doing so I can now see. I presumed inflatable penises - best left on shelves IMO.

I'm guessing the "lude props" bring in commas was a direct quote.

    They missed the [sic] though.
