It sounds like it's coming from front drivers side. I can't see anything in the bonnet area or under the car that looks out of place.

    Anyone have an idea?

Apologies car is 2006 citreon c4 petrol

Which noise is it? The banging? Or something else?

Also giving no info on the car is mad. We need to know the make, model, engine and year to have some chance.

I used to get that creaking in the suspension too (from the wishbones I think?) when it was dry but never in the wet. Obviously something was worn but I used to just spray WD40 all around the area and it used to solve it. Might have been a rubber something or other worn away causing metal to rub on metal. I had so many bangers I can't remember which car it was. I think it was an old Merc C class. What a heap of shyyyte that was! Hope you get it sorted anyway. Needless to say I don't know much about cars.

Sorry, just heard your recording now. That doesn't sound like creaking. It sounds like banging. If I had to guess I'd say the wheel arch lining has come loose and is flapping away at the tyre. What a novel way to diagnose a fault by the way!
