Apparently due to return June Bank Holiday weekend, possibly to 99.1 or 94.3. Frank Kennedy is still running the show. Looking forward to their return.

105.7? Surely not the most advisable frequency?

105.7 running 5Kw you say... PMSL.
Give ComReg something to do over the bank holiday I guess.

105.7 it will be the shortest lived pirate in history. If your. 3 away from news talk and. 2 away from today fm

nobody would use 105.7 with high power. I wonder if this is smoke an mirrors for whats really happening.

phever are off today. what if frank has bought out a station like phever? pretty sure that how he started in radio back in the early 2000s.

Newstalk have a relay on 105.8 as well - quick rewind to 2010 and the pirate Sunshine Radio will tell you to avoid any type of power on 105.7

Would be a surprise if Phever has been bought out - too many blank carriers in Dublin suggest otherwise ! - I don't buy into 5kw on 105.7 as an aside

Lol. The self confessed "Superstar DJ" himself.

Can't wait to hear his bootleg Scooter megamixes again!

Should be some testing this week, perhaps some of the carriers will merge.

If 105.7 is used in the end, then the “superstar DJ” is not a superstar frequency picker and will end up losing his superstar gear

    Appropriate username :D

    25 years+ I would have thought?

It's a real shame the Pulse/Energy 94 team didn't get the Spin licence.

it is, but i wonder if it would have eventually morphed into a spin type station anyway? so maybe it was probably for the best?

Yes that's right, I was 14 or 15 at the time, I had an old cassette tape ghetto blaster contraption, I would sit up in darkness till 3 or 4am waiting to press record to catch the good tracks, man I loved superQ,

Freedom 92fm was another popular one, club Fm too

There was Hot 107 which was a reincarnation of Sunset 107. Then Hot Fm operated by a different team from around 2001 - 2004 or so on 99.1 and 99.4 also 88.1 and 102.9

Don't remember Hot ever being on 102.9 - Chill FM used it iirc and one or two others in the post Pulse/ESG era

88.1 ended up as a Phantom relay housed at the Hot site and iirc 99.1 was used for an offshoot 'Vibe FM' ??

Fair play to him! I worked for him for a few years out in a bar in Soain & although I seen him be some of things his been labelled on here he was always good to me.

No denying the man can make money & even though he’s not everyone’s cup of tea (if you were you’d be a mug) the people that like him absolutely love him!

I wish him & the station all the best!

Hot FM online stream is very unstable. Down every day.

You never know if it's online or offline. Hope these guys will change to more reliable streaming provider soon.

What is going on in West Dublin. Sounds perfect till you cross the liffey. Then a terrible sound blocking out the station

Studio, Stream, Links all should have all been sorted before launching. Why the big rush to get on air and not even a studio built?

Stations ID's are outdated, someone needs to swiftly remove that 'preset' jingle, I am not sure if most devices even have that function anymore they'd all be pre sorted and stored, so some people from that era might have literally no idea what the guy is talking about.

    .

The biggest and most successful legal and pirate stations have come on the air in the past with studios incomplete / temporary tx facilities etc etc - it's not a big deal
