Postal Order increase

    Cost of a postal order has gone up recently.
    The basic tier up 25% from 80c to €1

    Government agencies will only accept cheque/postal order for some things ie. data protection request costs €6.35 + €1

    Cheque will cost you minimum 50c, usually more like 75c after bank charges.

    The charge was 60p (76c) in 2001, which would be 97c after inflation. Don't see 3c as a rip off.

    An Post actually tried to get rid of them at the Euro changeover because they're so obsolete.
