Hi all, just potted an azalea in acidic compost yesterday. It's small, a few flowers growing on it. Will it continue to flower throughout summer? any suggestions for good care?

It will not flower for the whole summer, though they do have a reasonable flowering period. Probably 3 weeks or so depending a bit on the weather. Keep it watered - especially at the moment till it settles in, don't assume that rain will give enough moisture. You might collect rain water for it if your house water is limey /hard. Give it a dose of Sequestrine later in the season (the compost will be ok for now). That's it really.

But are they still a nice looking plant without flowers? Is there a need to deadhead?

Some/most? of them seem to 'deadhead' without help, I never did though I have not had too many azaleas. Yes, while just a green shrub, they are pleasing enough.
