Most of them going to any UK channels I don't watch would be a bonus

    The most well paid.

Will they come back? Might influence the choice...

None of them would get any sort of regular work.

    None of them should

could we not send Tubridy somewhere else? I mean, if he's in the UK we might still see him. Maybe there's some channel on some far flung island that has an analog transmitter with a broadcast limit of 5 miles?

What have the Tibetans done to you to warrant that?

As little as possible of them. There's a good reason I rarely watch Irish TV.

    What about Kathryn Thomas?

    What about Kathryn Thomas?

Yes she would do well I reckon on British tv. She's very attractive, funny as well and they would love her accent

I thought this was going to be another Laura Whitmore thread.

I thought this was going to be another Laura Whitmore thread.

It is, he just legally can't use her name anymore to initiate conversations but now you technically have so his reign of terror will begin shortly...

    No mention of Dara Quilty

Definitely not Laura Whitmore anyway (Mikey Taylor returns to thread in 5, 4, 3, 2...)

Angela Scanlon has been on British TV. I just like seeing her on my TV.

    so conflicted.

with mixed feelings about tv presenters.

on the one hand i like the attractive women, but on the other i want davina and ant and dec to be pushed off a cliff edge for the crime of existing as part of my life.

Why is it important that Irish presenters should be on British tv OP?

Should they not be accommodated here when they have talent?

Might as well ask what Irish presenters we would like to see on US or mainland Europe tv.

Would like to see someone like Donal Dineen maybe get his series This Ain't No Disco on British TV seeing that RTE 2 is no longer interested in hosting the series, even though they still produce the sometimes excellent Other Voices.

If you want to get into it, you got to get out of it. (Hawkwind 1982)

We could do a swap with the Brits, like for like (That's what we'll tell them...)

We give them Ray Darcy, we get Graham Norton.
They get Daithi o Se, we get Dara O'Briain.
They get Miriam O'Callaghan, we get Harry Hill.

    Be grand :D

    All of them.
Whether the British would want them is another question.

Strange how some of the best presenters on British TV in recent years are Irish and largely failed to get a look in at RTE.

I was hoping that Brendan O'Carroll would crash and burn spectacularly in the U.K.

I really thought that he would and that he'd come scurrying back with his tale between his legs.

    Look how that worked out.

The little bollix is more famous than ever.

Be careful what you wish for.

    Send him to Easter Island
He would fit in very well with the stiff big head statues there

Look what happened the last fella who did that. He rang Joe Duffy. And where is he now? Dead..

Speaking of Joe Duffy, I hear there's a vacancy at Radio Gobi Desert.

Caller: My camel is stuck up a tree.

Joe: What colour is the camel?
