Who will it be? The lack of depth and experience in reserve for out half has to be a major worry for Ireland Management.

The most important position in rugby by a distance . There is a high probability that an injury prone Johnny Sexton at 33 is not going to last the tournament. It is possible you will need at least two from the above to play number 10 in world cup.

Would this complete lack of experience and depth not be a major concern for most people?

Lack of consistency at kicking would be my biggest concern, for the last 12 years Ireland didn't have that worry with RoG and Johnny, a penalty in our own half was usually 3 points or a 5m lineout

Are you kidding? Jack Carty was brought in the Irish squad by Joe recently. He deserves to be at least in the list.

When was the last Irish game Sexton missed through injury?

    Carbery by miles.

Hasn't let us down once whenever coming on for Sexton. Though he definitely needs a run of games at 10 for Leinster next season.

Voted for Byrne but probably Carbery, he hasn't looked anywhere near good enough the last few games at 10 but Schmidt seems to believe in his potential. If he's stuck behind Byrne for 10 and Kearney at 15 then you'd wonder where his development will come from.
