Hi, has anyone any experience of the xc60 T8?

Really like the new Volvo's. Well specced as standard.
Most of my journeys are short runs 5-15 km a day with longer journeys every so often.

Really want to change, current car is a 15 year old VW golf, we were going to change 3 years ago, then again. The following year and finally last year I was looking at a Audi A6 Avant Diesel (real practical for the milage!) And as there seems to be a ton of audis around home I thought I would look at something different.

How often is every so often, and how far is long journey?

Possibly once a month, but not every month, up to approx 250 km return journey with a few 40km journeys here and there.
Over 4 years we have clocked up 39401 km in the golf so approx 9850 a year.

    I have a xc90 t8 for nearly 2 years. Love it.

For short journeys it’s doing average of 5 l per 100km, long trip to France it did 10. But we do 15,000 km in short trips a year and 3,000 going to France.

    Each charge use 7kwhrs.

Aside from the economy it’s much nicer to wary around in silence than the diesel. It also goes well in power mode, but power mode doesn’t suit the car as it’s not agile in corners.

Is there a remap for the T8's? I was all set on one till the reviews concluded it really doesnt feel like a 400BHP SUV and when you drive it like it might be the economy is dismal. :(
Otherwise I really like the look of it.. and the XC60 version, which I think it mildly more economical as it has a larger battery than the initial XC90 T8.

That not quite ticking of my boxes got me thinking that maybe I should just go balls to the wall for an SUV instead (something with really high BHP that feels it too).

There Is polestar which is a remap, but I just don’t feel the want to go fast in this type of car. It’s a 2.200kg Jeep, it’s never going to handle well. I’ve usually got the family in it too. The 400bhp does come in handy when you need to overtake.

I can see why some people say they don’t feel like 400bhp, but speed builds quickly, smoothly and quietly. It feels fast enough when your too quick into a corner!
