Car roofcloth cleaner

The roofcloth in my car ( Focus Hatch ) is manky. I stuffed some garden trimmings, light branches, leaves, etc, to bring to dump, and left a few dirty stains on the cabin ceiling. I've tried a couple of light household cleaning items, but to no avail. Anybody any ideas ?
