I'm thinking about pulling the trigger on a Picanto 1.0 EX. We'll be doing a 150KM trip every two weeks or so, otherwise pottering around Dublin.

Looking at a 181 Ex Demo for 13995 - New is 14795+300 Delivery. Am I being robbed?

    Thanks folks for any advice.

HINchys in limerick have some zero mileage picantos. I think they were €12900. I’ll have a look. Might be lower spec.

TX is base model, EX is higher spec, which is the one you’re looking at?

EX - Hinchys was all POA sadly.

The EX models are €15200 in Hinchys, which is a bit of a swizz if you’re getting a new one for that :)

Don’t see any TX models now, I probably got it wrong. Just popped up on the salesman’s own Facebook page last night. I’ve no connection to him, no idea how I ended up seeing it!

Thanks Colm much obliged for the info - reckon it's a decent buy for the use? Might have to take it a bit slower heading up North but the wife will be happy. A bit miffed I can't get the 1.0 Turbo or 1.25 in Ireland.

Keep in mind Hyundai are doing €3000 off new i10, which is basically the same car. It’s 5 year unlimited mileage warranty though vs 7 year 160k on the Kia.

You’d have to get the Deluxe spec if you want to have the goodies, they’re €14500 list which could end up at €16000 including delivery and metallic, €3000 off would make it €13000.

There’s a premium spec too for €1000 more again. Not sure how either compare with the EX on the Kia which has stuff like cruise control and other nice things you wouldn’t expect on a little car.

Has to be said though, a nearly new Rio or i20 would be a more substantial car.

Actually Deluxe i10 has aircon and cruise.

Thanks again Colm! Given me some ammo for tomorrow. If I can get a few more quid off the Picanto I think I'm winning (just) vs the i10 given the state of what I'm trading in.

What are you trading in, and are you paying less than 13995 to change up?

Bought a EX trim ex-Demo model in the end for 13995 with 5 years servicing and rear parking sensors thrown in. Happy out in the end. Thanks again for the advice!
