I have a SanDisk USB 2.0 Cruzer Blade memory stick.

It has storage capacity of 64Gb written on it.

If I plug it into my Windows 10 desktop and view Properties, it says 32Gb.

    Why is this?

    Thanks.

Ps. I did a quick format, if that makes any difference.

    This tool http://www.softpedia.com/get/System/System-Miscellaneous/H2testw.shtml
will show you the reliable storage and speed. I've bought several uSD cards claiming to be 32GB that were only reliable to 7.5gb

Where did you buy it and how much?

Has it been formatted incorrectly, download aomei partition assistant and have a look at the usb and format it correctly

I have two other SanDisk USB sticks.

Both show up as exactly what they should be - 2Gb and 64Gb.

What might I have done wrong in the formatting?

Can I format it again and make it 64Gb?

    Thanks.

You might have formatted it to FAT32 filesystem, MS tools have a 32GB limit for this. If you use it on other hardware, e.g a TV, there may be compatability issues. If not, try format to NTFS or maybe exFAT

    You were right.

I had formatted it in FAT32, the Windows default.

I've tried both exFAT and NTFS, but I'm still only getting 32Gb. (The drop down size menu only offers 32Gb in both file formats.)

So, by having first formatted it in FAT32, have I screwed it?

Or can I rescue it somehow?

    Thanks.

    Sorted!

    Using https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_TRWUJ1oZHc

    Simple and quick.

Just be sure to select the USB drive and not Drive 0, your hard drive.
