    Hi, hope someone can help.
I was looking to book a mobile cocktail class for my sister's hen. We found cocktails.ie \cocktailclasses.ie who according to their website provide this service.
However, I cannot find any reviews of them online and they have been acting fairly suspiciously in the communications I've had with them.
Just wondering if anyone has booked a class through them and if so, would you recommend them.
    Thanks

Where will the hen be? I know a lad in Sligo used to do a mobile cocktail bar I could try and get his details

In Dingle I'm afraid, so a bit too far I'm guessing!

Do you have to pay them before the day? If you don't I'd say you're safe enough

They are looking for a €100 deposit.
But the money isn't the main thing, don't want to risk them not showing on the day, and having 26 people with nothing to do.

Trust your gut. No reviews, suspicious emails and deposit required? I'd look for alternative if I was you!

Pretty much what I'm thinking, posted here as a last attempt to get some reviews about them.
Started looking at other ideas at this stage.

100 deposit seems small. If they scammed......then negative reviews would exist.....

Can you not just find a pub in Dingle that would do this for you? Or if you are staying in a hotel down there then maybe the hotel could do it, because all it is is throwing a few shots in a metal shaker at the end of the day, it should be easy enough to set up.

Did this at a hen in Limerick two years ago, we were brought into a function room in the hotel and the barman showed us how to make two cocktails, then we were brought behind the bar in threes and fours and chose which one we wanted, lashed in the alcohol, gave it a shake and poured our drink. For them all they are doing is selling more alcohol to us, and we are pouring it ourselves.

The idea was to rent a boat out and have the cocktail class in the boat. At this stage though, just going to look at other ideas. Thanks for the help though, as there is a couple of pubs down there that do classes on the premises. Only reason we were looking at this one on particular was because we wanted to do the whole thing on a boat.

Hire the boat, bring your own drink, make your own cocktails.

Well think yourself lucky for not using them and changing your mind . I used these guys for a 21st birthday party and I would have done a better job Myself . I spend the night collecting glasses as there so called professional barmen tried painlessly to make cocktails and didn’t seem to think looking after the guests ,organise the bar or collecting glasses, just wasn’t part of their brief. Fine if they are catering for 20 people but but if you want a successful night with professional Barmen forget it . Total rip off . So don’t use them if you are having a large group . They haven’t a clue what they were doing.
