    Hi,

    I need to get a Police Clearance Certificate asap from UK for public job. No idea how to do this?
    Any information greatly appreciated

    I can't remember the exact ins and outs but the last time I looked into this I couldn't get one because I was a UK citizen.

    (that's assuming it's the same thing we're talking about, mine was some form of security clearance to get into secured sites)

    Thanks, for getting back.

    I need this for a job. They are asking for a police clearance cert for any country you have lived in for more than 6 months. I have never been asked for one before so was a bit confused. I lived in the UK for a few years so need to get one from there but no idea what to do!

    Ah I think that's probably something different so. What I was trying to get was for getting into military sites and such.

    That sounds more like a certificate of good behaviour?

    Someone may come along and clarify the process in the UK but from what I understand it's really just a statement that you've not been in trouble with the law while you lived there. And I'd imagine there shouldn't be any problems getting it (other than bureaucratic red tape)
