All RTE and Irish channels are still there but the rest just vanished. Any idea why this would be?

You haven't given enough information for a definitive response. So, what is the box you are using, or is it in built tuners on the TV ...??

Your profile says you are in Mullingar. My guess is that you are not getting Freeview.. probably more likely Freesat. You therefore probably have a misaligned dish, or faulty LNB or dodgy cables...

They are Colby boxes, hooked up to an aerial. Was working fine last week, just now the English channels are gone. Have 3 boxes, same thing on each of them.

Happened to me a few months back. It was the LNB. The little box on the end of the thing sticking out of the dish.

    What's a 'Colby box'?

Got a link so we can see what it is?

So its a combi box. Your UK channels are coming form a satellite dish. So your problem is one of:

    1. Dish misalignment
    2. Faulty LNB
    3. Dodgy cables

Right ok, I see now. Cheers for the help.

Not to be pedantic but Freeview is system that transmits UK channels via terrestrial i.e. an aerial while what you have is a combo box with FTA UK channels via a dish.

Got it sorted anyway. It was the dish that was at fault.
