    Hi all.

My assessment has been on going for 8 months now and wondering if this is a sign of anything?

I'm asking as the PIAB website state they try to have each assessment done on average in 7 months. I ask as I know people who have had assessments done and dusted in half the time and started after mine.

Also I've seen 2 PIAB doctors so far but haven't received any reports from them. One was 4 months ago the other 6 weeks ago. Is it not the practice to receive a copy of the doctors medical report after an examination?

I spoke to my solicitor on these issues and he hasn't received any reports yet and was vague on the length of the assessment may take. Was hoping to have it all done at this stage.

Any insight by anyone who has experience of any of these issues would be greatly appreciated.

It can take any amount of time. Your solicitor isn't trying to do you over by being vague, it's the nature of the beast.

Ok. Just thought there was a time limit as a man I know had his assessment referred to court as he was told they couldn't make an assessment in time. Think this was at the 9 month mark.
