Deadly Class, the Russo Brothers’ take on the hyperviolent Image comic series from Rick Remender, Wes Craig, and Lee Loughridge. Set in the late ‘80s, the series follows a young homeless man named Marcus who joins an elite academy of assassins, as he and his fellow classmates train not just to become killers, but to survive competing with each other in mortal combat.

Wow, how much money have they sunk into this? The production feels like film quality.

Story feels very much like an intro so far. I'm behind on Titans but the violence is up there around Titans level.

Though the Deadly Class comic is all about assassins and murder, unlike the Titans comic characters.

Must check out the pilot. Am up to date on the comics so will see how it goes

I wasn't that impressed with the pilot to be honest and I don't think I'll be adding this to my watch list.

2: Yes, definitely Titans reigns in the violence. Not this one though. This feels like it's just getting started.

Well that started alright developing out some background for the school and the skills.

The story going on to the disco and the soviet and ladies messing up Petra.. well.. let's just say the revenge felt satisfying.

BUT THEN Benedict Wong and Henry Rollins brought it up to an Eleven!

and finishing off with the cliffhanger..

I'm a bit behind and when I checked, the next episode seems to have a high rating... hrmmm

You know at first I thought it was going to go kinda Breakfast Club.

Well maybe it did a very little bit..

Then the rollercoaster
- The cousins come into the Cafe
- Yer mans hand gets the chop :eek:
- Petra taking the hit :eek::eek:
- Viktor and Petras soul eyes scene
- Then it all kinda resolved when Benedict Wong came back
- but then Billy arriving back and the story about his father

8: Well the clampdown sure clamped down on the action. Feels like that episode might be the calm before the storm. Only 1 (listed on wiki) or 2 (listed on imdb) episodes left!

You know, before the raid, I thought a bunch of them were gonna die but by the end, I thought they'd just be able to blame Chester+Crew for killing Chico. Then BAM Lex is dead.

Not the first time seeing Benedict Wong. Obviously Wong in the Marvel Universe but also Kublai Khan in Marco Polo. He needs to be given so much more work. The man knows how to act.

Season 2 should be a cracker. It'll kick right off with

a fight against Chico's father.

Then there'll be

Saya having to deal with the consequences of Lins wife and daughter.

Awe it's all chaos!!

It seems to have still not done great in the ratings and Syfy didn’t own it, they only aired it. Budget was also high for the show and just like with The Expanse, Syfy cancelled it as they were not getting full revenue from it. Hopefully Sony can find another place for it.

Was not good enough to recommend to others but i quite liked it and thought they had built the universe and had so much story to tell

I have watched first two of these I really like it.
Finding it much more fun than the umbrella academy shame it's been cancelled
