FTTH and VOIP

    Looking at getting in FTTH and also want phone I notice that the phone is VoIP with FTTH and that phone has to be connected to the router I have to cordless phones at present what us the best way to connect these as they are at opposite end of the house to where the router is would I be better of getting two wireless VoIP cordless phones if possible

    To avoid spending money I'd try placing the current DECT base station near the router and seeing what coverage is like. If that doesn't work you could put an RJ11 cable from the router to any existing phone point in your home. This will enable you to plug the DECT base into any of the other phone points in your home.

    There is no point in buying VOIP phones for the eir service as they will not give you the password.

    Also with eir the eir Talk app (Android and iOS) is very useful. It allows you to use the landline part of your service on any compatible device.
