What does he charge for coding? I've done it for free several times.

You can get the spurious VCDS on ebay for less than 50 and after five minutes googling it can be done.

Not sure what the point is really

A lot of the coding features won't work on an eBay cable.

Basic adaption and Coding £40 as many basic adaption and coding modifications as you like within 1.5hrs a full diagnostic scan will be completed both before and after any works in order to make sure there are no issues with the vehicle.
These scans are included within this offer and does not effect the 1.5hrs time slot. all work is registered and is warranty safe
note its €80 for his Irish visit which includes his expenses

Definitely interested but it depends on what days. Now need to check Briskoda to see what I want/need.

Waste of time paying these guys unless you want something really complicated done, then you have no backup once they are gone.

Buy an obdeleven for €35, then another €35 for credits / a pro account. You have the option of “dummy changes” where all the coding is already completed and it’s a press button or you can go down the detailed code changing. Very handy thing to have to scan for faults too.

In fairness, all VCDS programs run a full scan every time a new VIN number is noted by the program. This is simply to store the "original" coding before anything is altered. He's not really offering anything extra there, he's simply covering his ar$e so that he can revert to the original coding in the event of a problem.

Exactly, and if you know someone here with vcds they will usually do it for free or for a few beer tokens.
