If you are looking at a chassis cab, by the time you put a body on the back you are looking at a max payload of less than 2 Tons on a 3.5Ton vehicle.

If you are going to be running it at max capacity a lot of the time, Sprinter or Iveco would be what I'd look at, or the older Crafter that's a re-badged Sprinter - these are based on higher weight capacity's and "built down" to 3.5T.

Renault, Nissan, Citroen, Opel, Ford etc, only really go up to 3.5T (there are some rare 4.6Ton versions) and wouldn't be as capable for the weight as Iveco/Merc

Would 2nd R.O.R if you are going to be at or over weight limit Iveco and Mercedes are both pretty over engineered for 3.5 ton ratings

thanks for the info, and what about the engines, gearboxs ,drives, etc anything to watchout for. Was there issues with injectors with Mercs?

2 Ton would be max load often less.
    Thanks
