sulphate of iron

    Lads I've a field here after the winter there, i see a lot of moss it has got lime last year and plenty slurry and fert, I heard that sulphate of iron would do the trick have any of ye any experience on it

    I do it around the yard and garden. The moss turns black.
    No experience of anything bigger.

    I've used it on a lawn that had moss.
    It browned the moss but the moss is there still.

    I'm not sure I'd be completely comfortable putting it on pasture land though. Especially if you've no idea of sulphur or iron levels already in the soil.
    I'd be more inclined to get a tined rake and give it a good harrow before going down the iron sulphate route. Then you could give the ground a shake of grass seed and then slurry/dirty water if you want.
