I dont know if this is just me but the pond at Blackrock Park seems utterly lifeless these days compared to the way it used to be. I always recall it being a hive of wildlife activity around this time of year, but the past few times I've passed there's hardly been anything stirring. Where are the swans who used to be a permanent fixture there? They even removed the benches that were there for some reason I can't fathom. Just wondering if there is a specific reason for this, or whether it's simply the wheels of nature turning in some odd fashion.
