Driving a 07 focus this week. Cabin seemed warm when the heat off so i turned on the blower to find it blowing hot air. It sorted itself out when i turned the dial up and down a few times. Would it be thermostat. it is not overheating

More than likely an issue between the control knob and the heater flaps. I assume it’s an electrical connnection on them, as in there are motors controlling the heater flaps.

just the selector jammed. afaik the heat is just directed into the cabin when you turn it up rather than actually increasing the heat
