Pretty massive news in the States:

    https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-court-gambling/u-s-top-court-paves-way-for-legalized-sports-betting-idUSKCN1IF1WN

You'd imagine there will still be a lot of resistance to this from the powers that be but a huge step forward for the Americans and quite a turn around after things like Black Friday putting an end to regulated online poker in America.

If the day comes that Americans can bet on the European sportsbooks and partake in the markets it could be absolutely huge for people over in our part of the world.

If nothing else at least Americans will no longer have to be so sketchy and be so worried about their money betting on sports events on weird sites and using weird transfer methods.

They'll be begging to have it banned again when they encounter bookies' ads. :pac:

Today: LON: PPB +12%, LON: 888 +15%, LON: WMH +10% (approx).

On the one hand makes sense to tax the $150bn (estimated) current black market, but if it leads to any FOBT's or any of that Virtual nonsense, could get messy.

It's the USA, of course there'll be FOBTs and virtual crap.

Is there any way to invest in companies that will be profiting from this?

Can only imagine how Americans will go crazy with mobile gambling.. it’s bad here and in UK but say it will be much worse in US once it gets going.

You can buy Paddy power betfair shares. It's definitely a market on their radar. I see their shares gone up again after this news.
