Transfer Photo/Video from iPhone to Android

Looking to transfer photos and videos from I phone to Android phone. Its not for a new phone OH has photos and video on iphone that I am looking for copies of and I am on Android. So don't want to transfer via google Drive Did the google search and few apps out there and I don't use Apple so not sure what is the best…

Did the google search and few apps out there and I don't use Apple so not sure what is the best option. Is it merely a case of connecting phone to PC and transferring them across and then onto Android?
