Electric Cooker Hobs

    Hi,

I have an Electric Hob. Some of the hobs have black crust on the outside of them.

I am wondering does anyone have anything that can remove it? I have tried some of the kitchen cleaners but they haven't worked.

    Does anyone have any recommendations?

    Thanks in advance
    Stephen

    Is it a ceramic hob?

I've had limited success with Hob-Brite, or there's hob scrapers for ceramic hobs. Elbow grease needed for all.

I use a Stanley knife blade clamped in the jaws of a vice grip, it will shave it off without doing any damage to your glass hob. hold the blade at approx. 45degree angle to the hob and use a new blade
