I found a piece of what i believe to be pottery(i am far from an expert). I found it in my garden while digging today. I think there was a dwelling or some kind of wall there because i am digging up a lot of rocks that run in a line about 2ft wide. It is a complete different colour to the rocks which are sandstone i think.I could be way off my only archaeological experience is from watching time team

Time Team was great! You need to call in the legendary Paul Blinkhorn who'll instantly tell you that it's early sixth century coarseware probably made in a kiln near Mullhuddart!

It's a natural stone fragment, not pottery. Limestone, more than likely.
