Ben Lettery vs. Diamond Hill

    What is Ben Lettery like to walk vs. Diamond Hill......We went around Diamond Hill recently. We didn't have any hiking clothing. Basically we have tracksuits, some light wet gear, and a small bag for food/water etc.

    Is Ben Lettery similar....or do I need to go buy boots and other hiking gear etc.

    Ben Lettery is a very different undertaking than Diamond Hill. There are no trails and it is a much more difficult walk.

    You certainly need boots, and good navigation skills. I'd also recommend good waterproofs and warm clothes! Not so long ago a tourist got lost in the fog up there and mountain rescue had to be called.

    Ben Lettery nonetheless is a beautiful walk with great views on a clear day and Binn Gabhar and Binn Ghleann Uisce and nearby too if you fancy another couple of peaks.
