Is this the end of the road for the washing machine

13 year old Bosch washing machine.

For the last couple of years she has been making squeaking noises when starting the turn before spinning, and I mean squeaking. It also felt that the drum could actually come flying out when spinning. But she was still working fine..

Up until last night, she stopped spinning. I looked at the filter, took out a 10c coin, but nothing else was in there. No joy, then checked whether she actually drained as she didn't seem to drain fully..so took a bucket, I saw her drain but I also saw loads of gunk coming out. Anyway, no change, did an empty 90 degrees cycle with vinegar. No change. Turned the machine over , checked all the rubber hoses for blockages, couldn't find anything. I presume there is some ball or stop where the big rubber hose connects to the drum , as it feels something is there , but it also feels like it belongs there..
    Anyway, no change..

Is this it , will I declare defeat ? I don't fancy calling out anyone as I am sure it is uneconomical based on her age and other symptoms.. Or is there something obvious causing this that I haven't checked ?
In fairness she must have done around 5000 cycles

Update.. Not looking any better.. It now doesn't turn the drum when I put on a wash cycle, you hear it fill and drain but in between nothing happens..

If you can do the repair yourself you can get out of the woods fairly cheap, the squeaking is coming from the pump so it needs replacing, no motor action means that the carbon brushes are worn so again replacements are needed, make a note of the direction the c/b are fitted when removing from the motor and cable tie the loom when refitting. simplest way to remove/ fit the pump is to remove the front panel off the washer

Sorry for your loss. She's in a better place now.

think the bearings or carbon brushes are gone on my yoke. drum not spinning, can hear the motor trying. what sort of money would a repair man cost?
weighing up just buying a new one

Same symptoms as my old washing machine and was diagnosed with irreversible bearings damage. I'm afraid it sounds like the end of the road but after 13 years of service, I think she deserves a decent burial :)
