Why is the "target area" in my new toilet so small

    As above. Why is the splashdown area so small? New toilet, only fitted today, flushed a couple of times but never used (looks dirty in photo but trust me it's clean).

    Old toilets took 15 to 25 litres of water to flush because the opening was so large. Modern toilets have a smaller opening & require 3 to 5 litres per flush.

    Is toilet level, front to back?
    Even by today's standards, that seems a small water area, low too.
    Or due to possible siphoning when flushed !!

    Slowly pour some water into the bowl and see does it go up to a higher level.

    If it does, get back to us.

    That toilet is installed wrong!

    Should not look like that, have you a side view of the pan?
