How to use smoked malt

Hi guys
Yesterday I got some "best smoked malt". I've only ever brewed from kits before and used the powdered light spray malt. However this stuff looks very different.
Can someone tell me how to use it? Do I need to boil it first or just Chuck it in like the spray malt??

looks like that it take it?
if so you need to crush it first, mash it to get all the sugars out of it, this will also give you colour. then boil the wort after removing the grain.

If it's uncrushed then don't bother without a mill.

It's crushed. I've never had a smoked beer before.

No idea what style you're trying to brew but I'd leave this malt out.

For the craic, I like experimenting with beer. Last year I threw chocolate extract and fresh chilli into a stout

20% in a porter makes a tasty smoked porter.

I brew extract as well. Smoked malt needs to be mashed so I've done a mini-mash with a stockpot in the oven and added the resulting wort to the kettle with the extract.
