Petrol or diseal

    Hi
    I have to buy a 2nd hand car . My budget is 4000 to 4500
    Need a family car. Any suggestions
    In the past i have driven fords or toytas.
    Thinking of getting diseal are they more economical?
    Any suggestions on make model

    Its mainly shoth distances
    Going to work, droping kids to school so 5 to 10 km per day

    With that low mileage short distance driving go for petrol. Simpler less to go wrong and cheaper to buy. The savings running a diesel over such small miles would be tiny.

    Get a small petrol , less trouble perfectly fine for those distances

    Nice ford focus 1.4 is a reliable solid car with nice handling and space

    I would go for Mitsubishi Lancer 1.5 or 1.8 Petrol. Really reliable
