Basically, got two tickets as a gift for Noel Gallagher tonight in the 3 arena. However, the name on that the booking was made obviously isn’t mine. So will I not be able to get in with these tickets so?

You'll be fine - They don't check the name on them

I have absolutely no doubt you will be allowed to get in.

I dont know how strictly they will enforce it but it said at the time of booking that you need to bring photo id. Oh and dont let today be the day that they throw the ticket back to you

If one person refuses you, look pleadingly at another and say are you gonna be the one that saves me?

If they ask your name just be honest. Then if they say that's not the name on the ticket just say I need to be myself, I can't be no one else.

Change your name by deed poll. Simples.

They won’t let you in unless the tickets are in your name or you have a scan/photo of the credit card used to buy the tickets.

apparently it will be strict for noel and people were turned away in uk over this issue. maybe check the name in the email confirmation if you have one so you can pull that out if any issues. or ring ticketmaster to query it.....

I have not had any issue at the 3 arena with tickets not in my name over the past 12 months but the email that ticketmaster sent out yesterday seems a bit more strict.
    Dear Customer,

We’re looking forward to seeing you for the Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds show.

We wanted to remind you that we will be carrying out strict ID checks on all tickets to get in to the show.

To try to ensure fans had the best chance to get tickets for this show and to prevent their resale at inflated prices by ticket touts the ticket purchaser's name is printed on your tickets. If it's your name printed on the tickets you must bring matching photo ID and make sure that all your 'guests' (accompanying ticket holders) arrive with you at the same time. They will not be let in without you. Also please make sure you and your guests are aware of the show's age restrictions and bring ID proving age if necessary.

If for any reason you are unable to attend please refer to the Artist website for more information. Other than this tickets are strictly not transferable.

Please note we reserve the right to cancel/void your tickets if you don’t have the correct ID and you may not get into the show.

Finally, we strongly recommend that you get to the venue earlier than usual in order to allow time for ID and security checks.

Thanks for your understanding and look forward to a great gig!

    Ticketmaster

    Fcukin' hypocrites!
This is unbelievable coming from the owners of Seatwave, who allow inflated re-sales within minutes of tickets going on sale.

They are checking ids all right. Someone ahead of me talked his way around it though.

Lol, I had the exact same issue for a Noel Gallagher concert in Cork back in 2015. Posted a thread on boards about it and eveything.

It was no problem at all in the end.

Not quite impossible. I managed to get through after 2 weeks calling multiple times every day, at different times of the day.
